There is going to be a big change for the employed people from the month of October.

Labor Law 2021: If you are associated with the job profession, then you can see big changes next month. The central government is preparing to make changes in the rules of labor law (New Wage Code) from October 1.

If these rules are implemented then the office time will increase. According to this new labor law, you will have to work for 12 hours. But in doing so, the company will have to give its employees 3 days off in a week. Apart from this, it can also be seen on In-hand salary. Know what will be the effect of the new labor code.

New rules may come into force from October 1

The government wanted to implement the rules in the new labor code from April 1, 2021, but due to lack of preparation of the states and giving more time to change the HR policy of the companies, it was postponed. According to the Labor Ministry, the government wanted to notify the rules of the Labor Code from July 1, but the states sought more time to implement these rules, due to which they have been postponed till October 1.

Now the Labor Ministry and the Modi government want to notify the rules of the Labor Code by October 1. Parliament had in August 2019 amended the rules related to three labor codes, industrial relations, safety of work, health and working conditions and social security. These rules were passed on September 2020.

May have to work for 12 hours in the office

According to media reports, a proposal has been made to increase the maximum working hours to 12. However, the labor union is also opposing the 12-hour job regarding this. In the draft rules of the code, there is a provision to include extra work between 15 and 30 minutes in overtime by counting 30 minutes. In the current rule, less than 30 minutes is not considered eligible for overtime. The draft rules forbid working more than 5 consecutive hours, so employees will have to give half an hour break after every 5 hours.

PF will decrease, salary will increase

According to the new draft rule, the basic pay should be more than 50 percent of the total salary. This may reflect a change in the salary structure of most employees. After increasing the basic salary, the PF will also increase. After this the take home salary will be reduced. However, it will be beneficial at the time of retirement.
