With the operation of Purnia Airport, Bihar now has four airports – Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga and Purnia. This has led to a significant increase in the number of aircraft and passengers flying daily from the state.

According to the data available on September 15, an average of 89 flights are being operated daily from all the four airports of Bihar and about 12,900 passengers are travelling daily. Connecting Purnia airport has not only increased the air capacity but has also provided relief to the remote districts of the state.
