BS3 petrol and BS4 diesel cars banned in Delhi. Due to increasing pollution in Delhi, the ban imposed for some time may now be forever, if the pollution level is not reduced. At present, there is a ban in Delhi for Thursday, January 12. Similar ban was imposed in Delhi NCR last month also.


According to the guidelines of Section 115 of the Motor Vehicle Act and Stage 3 of GRAP, the Delhi government has taken this decision on Monday. The Transport Department of Delhi has issued an order that “temporary ban is imposed on BS3 petrol and BS4 diesel four wheelers till January 12. However, there is an exemption for emergency situations, police vehicles and government vehicles.

Delhi’s air quality worsened by vehicles
The Central Pollution Control Board released on Monday that the Air Quality Index of Delhi is greater than 434 points. There was an increase of 60 points on Sunday. It was informed by the Transport Department of Delhi that this ban has been implemented in Delhi NCR as per Stage 3 of GRAP.

Fine of ₹ 20000 will have to be paid after the ban
After the ban, BS3 petrol and BS4 diesel cars will have to pay heavy fines for violating the ban on the roads of Delhi. Yes, you may have to pay a fine of around Rs 20,000, which for some people may cost more than the cost of their old vehicle.
