Amrit Bharat Express: There is a great news for lakhs of passengers who frequently travel between Delhi and Bihar. Just before Rakshabandhan and the upcoming festive season, Indian Railways has given a great gift to the passengers. Now a brand new and modern Amrit Bharat Express train is going to run between Delhi and Sitamarhi (Bihar). This news has brought relief to lakhs of people who had to struggle months in advance for confirmed tickets. This train will not only be fast, but the common man has also been taken care of in it.
Amit Shah will flag off, will run on the track from August 9
The inauguration ceremony of this new rail service is going to be very special. On August 8, 2025, Union Home and Cooperation Minister, Amit Shah, will flag off this train from Sitamarhi, Bihar. After this, regular operation of the train will start from August 9, 2025.
You can call Amrit Bharat train the ‘Vande Bharat’ of the common man. It is a completely non-AC train, which has been specially designed keeping in mind the passengers traveling in general and sleeper class.
- High Speed: Like Vande Bharat, ‘push-pull’ technology has been used in it, due to which this train picks up speed quickly and there are less jerks. Its maximum speed can be up to 130 kmph.
- Modern facilities: There will be no dirt and inconvenience in it like the old general coaches. Amrit Bharat coaches have many modern facilities like CCTV cameras, clean and better designed toilets, easy stairs to climb to the upper berth, mobile charging point on every seat and holder for keeping water bottle.
- Total 20 coaches: This train has a total of 20 coaches, which will have 11 general class and 8 sleeper class coaches, so that more and more people can travel in it.
