India-Nepal border road: Approval to build this road for trade between Nepal and China was given in 2008. Now the Government of Nepal has instructed the Army to complete the remaining part. About 50 km of this road is connected to the Indian border.

Nepal has probably made up its mind to increase tensions with India. First he showed the areas of India in his official map. Now work has started on a road along the Indian border after 12 years. This road passes through Dharchula town in Uttarakhand. About 130 km of the Dharchula-Tinkar Road , about 130 km, is connected to Uttarakhand. According to sources, permission for this project was granted in 2008. The motive was to promote trade between Nepal and China through the Tinkar Pass. The remaining part of the road will now be completed by the Nepal Army.
Why did Nepal remember this road?
Nepal has now remembered this road probably because India inaugurated the 80 km long road connecting Dharchula to Lipulekh Pass on 8 May. The Tawaghat-Lipulekh route was inaugurated by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on 8 May. He said that this would take less time than before to go to Kailas Mansarovar.
It had
been 12 years since the contractor road had left work , but only 43 km of the road could be built. Not only is Terrain extremely dangerous on this route, but there is also no confidence in the weather. According to the source, the contractor also left the work after seeing the loss continuously. The Government of Nepal believed that the construction of this road would not only increase trade, but also increase the number of pilgrims and tourists.

Nepal Army was preparing the base camp

India had made it clear that the road is completely in Indian territory. If Nepal had to object, he would have expressed it while building the road. A source told TOI our colleague that the official reason behind starting the road project has been that the people of Tinkar and Chhangroo can come and go. The Nepal Army has started preparing a base camp at Ghatiyabghar to complete the remaining 87 km road.
