Navjot Sidhu did not take court summons even after five days, Bihar Police team stands outside Kothi

Amritsar, JNN. Former cricketer and former Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu did not receive the summons of the Bihar court even for the fifth day. Bihar Police team brought summons, for five days, Sidhu has been applying his kothi wheels to summon him, but he is not getting it. The police team of Bihar’s Katihar district has now camped in Amritsar. Members of the team say that Ab will bring him only after summoning Sidhu. Now the team has been told that Sidhu is out now and will come on Monday.

On Sunday too, the Katihar police team kept going around Sidhu’s kothi from morning till late night. Sub-inspectors Janardan Prasad and Javed Ahmed, who were part of the Katihar police team, said that even on the fifth day, they did not get any satisfactory reply from the former minister’s residence. The office attendant just said that the former minister is likely to arrive on Monday. It is expected that on Monday, he will serve a notice to Sidhu.



Sidhu used objectionable words in public meeting in 2019 Lok Sabha election

Members of the Bihar Police team said that the top officers of Bihar Police have also ordered that they should return only after receiving the notice to Sidhu. Both police personnel said that they are staying here at the hotel during the Corona period and are also taking special precautions to avoid corona infection.

Bihar police had returned in the last year too

Let us tell you that on 16 April 2019, at the time of Lok Sabha elections, Navjot Singh Sidhu was invited to address a meeting in Varsoi police station area of ​​Katihar district of Bihar. Sidhu had reached the election meeting organized in favor of Congress candidate and former MP Tariq Anwar. It is alleged that Sidhu used objectionable words in the meeting.   



It is said that in the election meeting, Sidhu had said things that were provoking a particular community. On this, controversy had arisen across the country and Navjet Singh had come under attack of anti-Sidhu leaders. Even Congress candidate Tariq Anwar agreed with his statement. After this, on the complaint of the Election Supervisor, a case was filed against Sidhu at the Varsoi police station in Katihar for violation of the code of conduct. However, all the sections in the case are bailable.

Bihar Police came in December last year to interrogate Sidhu and write a statement but even then he had to return. Now Sidhu is not taking court summons again. It is said that if not taken summons, it can be difficult for Sidhu.
