Heavy overnight rainfall has triggered major landslides in the Bhor Ghat section (Karjat-Lonavala stretch), entirely blocking the vital rail link between Mumbai and Pune. While long-distance trains stand disrupted, Mumbai’s city locals continue to run with slight delays.

  • Mumbai-Pune Long-Distance Trains: Fully Suspended / Diverted. Debris has blocked all three lines near Thakurwadi and Khandala. There is no confirmed reopening timeline.

  • Central Railway Locals: Operational across all 4 corridors. Main Line is running 6–8 minutes late; Harbour Line is running ~4 minutes late; Trans-Harbour and Uran-Belapur lines are on time.

  • Western Railway Locals: Operational with minor monsoon-related slowdowns.

  • City Status: Schools and colleges are closed today across Mumbai, Pune, Thane, and Palghar.
