The officers provided this information. Central Railway said that trains will not run between Belapur (Navi Mumbai) and Panvel (Raigad) on the Trans-Harbour Line till 11 am on Thursday. Some commuters and office goers claimed that they were forced to take Harbor Line trains between Belapur and Panvel stations which were running late by about 15 minutes in this situation.
Service canceled due to non-completion of work
Dr. Shivraj Manaspure, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway, confirmed that due to non-completion of work on the Trans-Harbor line as scheduled during the night, train service on the Trans-Harbor line between Belapur-Panvel was suspended.
Train is not running on this route
He said that as part of some changes in the yard, some speed restrictions have been imposed in Panvel, in view of which the Trans-Harbour local train service will remain suspended between Belapur and Panvel till 11 am today to avoid crowding in Panvel. The official said that Thane-Panvel Trans-Harbour local trains are not running from Thane to Belapur till 11 pm.
