Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat will start in June, will complete the journey in 7 hours

For the last few days, the trial run of the train is going on between Madgaon in Goa and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) in Mumbai. This train will change the face of travel between India’s financial capital and the country’s tourism center Goa. However, the official refused to say anything about the possible date of inauguration and the proposed route. He said that the date is yet to be finalised.

New Delhi: According to the information received by News 18, Vande Bharat is going to run soon on the tracks of Konkan Railway full of beautiful views. This semi-high speed train going from Mumbai to Goa is expected to run in June. For the last few days, the trial run of the train is going on between Madgaon in Goa and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) in Mumbai. This train will change the face of travel between India’s financial capital and the country’s tourism center Goa.

There are still some trains that connect Mumbai and Goa, but Vande Bharat is the fastest train among them all. It will complete the journey between the two cities in just 7 hours. The official of Konkan Railway informed on the condition of not disclosing his name that till now it used to take 8 to 9 hours between two stations. However, the official refused to say anything about the possible date of inauguration and the proposed route. He said that the date is yet to be finalised.

Konkan Railway i.e. the journey of natural scenery

Konkan Railway is considered one of the most beautiful journeys in India. It connects Mumbai and Mangalore and passes through Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka. It was built at a place where the Sahyadri hills are in the east and the Arabian Sea is in the west. The first train on the Konkan route was flagged off on January 26, 1998, this year it has completed 25 years.

The total length of Konkan Railway is 750 km which includes the Goa-Mumbai route. There are about 72 stations in this route and the entire journey passes through rivers, valleys and mountains. There are 91 tunnels in this entire journey which cover a distance of 85 km. The longest tunnel on this route is the Karbude tunnel near Ratnagiri, which is 6.5 km long. Along with this, there are 342 turns, 1880 bridges on this route, which include 179 major and 1701 minor bridges. About 372 roads also cross this route.

About Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat

Giving information, the official said that Vande Bharat, the fastest train running on the Mumbai-Goa route, will be fully AC. It will cover a distance of 600 km from Mumbai to Madgaon completely filled with beautiful views. While traveling, passengers will get to see the beautiful Konkan region and the views of the Western Ghats. He told that the demand for running Vande Bharat on this route was being raised from long back. Since it is a single line track, it was challenging to work here. Union Minister of State for Railways Raosaheb Danve had announced in March that Vande Bharat would soon run on the Mumbai-Goa route.

The official told that this will be the first Vande Bharat for Konkan Railway. The successful trial of the train is a milestone for us. Goa is a tourist destination, where there is always a crowd to go. In such a situation, for the convenience of the passengers, there was a demand for running Vande Bharat on this route from a long time ago.

Fourth Vande Bharat for Mumbai

Till now three Vande Bharat trains are operating from Mumbai. Which run for Gandhinagar, Shirdi and Solapur. This will be the fourth Vande Bharat to run from the financial capital of the country. A total of 18 pairs of Vande Bharat trails are currently running in India, in which the train running between Guwahati to New Jalpaiguri has started recently. Earlier in the beginning of the month, the first Vande Bharat had left from Odisha which runs between Puri to Howrah.

Apart from 3 Vande Bharat trains running in Mumbai, 6 Vande Bharat trains are being operated from the country’s capital Delhi. Which connects Delhi to Dehradun, Ajmer, Varanasi, Katra, Bhopal and Amb Andaura.

While Mysuru and Coimbatore are Vande Bharat in Chennai, Vande Bharat is also operating on Bilaspur-Nagpur, Howrah-New Jalpaiguri, Secunderabad-Tirupati, Secunderabad-Vishakhapatnam and Thiruvananthapuran-Kasaragod routes.
