Uses Green Energy

The airport generates 5 percent of its energy requirement there, while 95 percent of it is generated from hydro and wind energy and imported there. Mumbai airport is the first airport in the country which is working completely on green energy since April. This year the airport had installed a hybrid solar mill of 10 kW peak. Due to which at least 36 kW of solar and wind power is generated every day.

Flights were diverted on Friday
Let us tell you that last week 8 flights were diverted at Mumbai Airport on Friday. Light drizzle and low visibility were cited as the reason behind it. All flights were rescheduled for that day. The passengers who had to suffer because of this were provided refreshments at the airport.
