For such parents, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started the Sukanya Samridhi Yojana. Under this scheme, the government gives annual interest on the investment. This interest is highest in small savings schemes. Today we will tell you how you can arrange up to 20 lakh rupees for your daughter’s wedding.

If the age of the daughter is 3 years, then start investing in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana from now on. Every year about 47 thousand rupees will have to be invested in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. By the year 2042, your total investment will be close to Rs 7 lakh 13 thousand. At the same time, the maturity value will be Rs 20 lakh.


Let us inform that Sukanya Samriddhi Account has been created to provide a bright future to the girl child. It offers a higher interest rate of 7.6 per cent and tax benefits under 80C. Minimum investment of Rs 250 can be made. At the same time, Rs 1,50,000 can be invested in a financial year. If the minimum amount of Rs.250 is not deposited in any financial year, a penalty of Rs.50/- will be levied.

Money can be deposited till the completion of 14 years from the date of account opening. The account will mature on completion of 21 years from the date of opening. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana accounts can be opened from bank to post office. This account can be transferred anywhere in India.
