Union Aid Minister Jitendra Singh has said that the government will provide leave travel allowance (LTA) facility to central government employees to visit the northeastern states, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Jammu and Kashmir for two years.

The country’s economy was hit hard by the corona crisis. Most people in particular lost their jobs. As well as gone without employment. Even large corporations have made cuts in the salaries of their employees. However, even at such a critical juncture, the Narendra Modi government at the Center has given a big gift to central government employees during the festive season. Union Aid Minister Jitendra Singh has said that the government will provide leave travel allowance (LTA) facility to central government employees to visit the northeastern states, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Jammu and Kashmir for two years.

Expansion of LTA facilities until 25 September 2022

Jitendra Singh said that travel allowance will be given to the employees for coming to LTC (LTC) along with paid leave. Apart from this, it is also possible to travel to these states through private airlines. Central employees can book economy class tickets for air travel. The minister of state for aid said unqualified government employees could also travel by plane. All these facilities have been extended till September 25, 2022.

Can go with family or alone
Central employees can now plan to celebrate the holidays in the Northeast, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Jammu and Kashmir. In fact, the government provides LTA to central employees. Under this, employees and officers can get travel allowance if they go anywhere. In which employees or executives can go with their family or go alone. Most of the travel expenses are covered under LTA. However, due to the corona crisis, the allowance of central employees was not increased this time.

The Dearness Allowance (DA), which is twice a year, is being paid to central employees at the old rate due to the Corona crisis. Drought allowance increased by 4% in January 2020. After this, the drought allowance for central employees is 21 per cent. After this, as the financial situation worsened due to the corona virus, it was not raised. Currently, as of June 30, 2021, the drought allowance is only 17 percent. Every year in January and July, the central government makes an announcement to increase the drought allowance.
