Why is the Composite Cylinder special?
Indian Oil has now launched Indane’s Composite Cylinder for the customers. This cylinder is currently available in 5 and 10 kg, which is much lighter than the regular cylinder of the same capacity. Apart from this, if we talk about the design, then it is quite spectacular and is quite light in weight.
This cylinder is made with three layers. It will have a layer of high density polyethylene inside. This inner layer is coated with fiberglass made of polymer. Its outer layer is also made of HDPE. In terms of safety, this cylinder is believed to be very strong.

Security to be deposited
Composite cylinder is available with 5 and 10 kg capacity. For a 10 kg cylinder of Indane, customers will have to pay a security of Rs 3350, while for a 5 kg cylinder, a security of Rs 2150 will have to be given.
How can you replace?
The most important thing is that if you want, you can get your old steel cylinder replaced with a composite cylinder. If you are a customer of Indane, then for this you go to your gas agency and take a steel cylinder along with it. Also carry the subscription paper for the gas connection. The amount spent on getting the connection of your old cylinder will be deducted from the price of the composite cylinder.
Apart from this, by paying whatever balance is left, you will get a composite cylinder. For example, if you have paid Rs 2000 earlier for indane, then for composite you will have to pay Rs 3350-2000 = Rs 1350. This price is for a composite cylinder of 10 kg. If 5 kg cylinder is to be taken then 2150-2000 = 150 rupees will have to be paid.
