Transferring LPG gas connection is a huge task. If you know the rules related to transfer, then this work can be done very easily. There are two different rules in this. If the city in which you live, the gas connection has to be transferred to another place in the same city, then its rule is different. If you want to transfer LPG gas connection from one city to another, then its rules are different.

LPG connection can be transferred very easily

  1. To transfer gas connection, you have to first visit the gas agency of your city from where you are leaving. By going there you have to submit your gas cylinder and regulator. After this the agency will give you the money you deposited earlier.
  2. You will also get a form from the gas agency, in which it will be written that you have a gas connection. You have to carry this form with you, as it will be useful to you in your new city.
  3. Now you have to go to the gas agency of your new city, and go there and show that form to your agency. This will be the same form that you got from your old agency.
  4. Now at last you have to do a small task that you have to pay money to your gas agency. After this, you will get the transfer connection issued in your name.

What documents will be needed

First of all, it is necessary to update your Aadhar card. Get your Aadhar card updated on change of address. With this you will not need a certificate. Apart from Aadhaar, telephone bill, electricity bill, voter ID card, driving license, photocopy of passbook, residential registration document, passport and self-declaration are essential documents.

Book online connection like this, these documents will be required

  • After opening the MyLPG.in website, a link to the Sahaj portal will be found on the corner. First click on this link. Here you will get the option of ‘Online Connection’, click on it.
  • The applicant has to upload his/her photo along with Aadhaar number and bank account number.
  • After giving the details of ID proof, registration will have to be done.
  • After the completion of the registration process, the option of online payment will come.
  • The reference number will come on the e-mail of the applicant as soon as the payment is made. Declaration of payment will also be received on e-mail.
  • A copy will reach the customer’s e-mail as soon as the gas company releases the connection.

Inflation hit: Cylinder became costlier by Rs 105

New prices of LPG cylinders have been released from March 1 due to the rising prices of petroleum products due to the fight between Russia-Ukraine. OMCS has increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders. That is, now for the LPG cylinder of 19 kg, Rs 105 more will have to be paid from today.

New prices of commercial cylinders in these states

  • Cylinder will now be available in Delhi for Rs 2012 instead of Rs 1907
  • Cylinder will be available in Kolkata for Rs 2095 instead of Rs 1987
  • Price of cylinder in Mumbai increased from 1857 to 1963 Rs.

Price hiked for 5 kg cylinder

In view of the increase in cylinder prices, the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder in Delhi will be Rs 2,012 from March 1. On the one hand, there has been a jump of Rs 27 in the price of 5 kg cylinder. Now the price of 5 kg cylinder in Delhi will be Rs 569.
