Delhi New Liquor Poicy: In view of the ongoing liquor shortage in Delhi, the Arvind Kejriwal government has decided to extend the period of existing licenses of liquor shops in the national capital till August 31. Let us tell you that this decision to extend the period of license was taken on Sunday itself.



New Delhi. There is an important news for the liquor lovers living in the capital Delhi. In fact, the discount on alcohol will continue for the coming one month in the capital of the country, Delhi. That is, cheap liquor will continue to be available in Delhi for another month. However, after that the increase in the prices of liquor in Delhi is also believed to be fixed.

Excise policy of Delhi government extended by 1 month

Let us tell you that a few months back, new excise policies were announced by the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi. After which liquor started getting at huge discounts on most of the contracts of Delhi. Along with a bottle, a bottle was also being given for free at many liquor shops. But soon most of the private contracts across Delhi were closed. After which there was a huge shortage of liquor in Delhi.


In view of the ongoing acute shortage of liquor in Delhi, the Arvind Kejriwal government has decided to extend the period of existing licenses of liquor shops in the national capital till August 31. Let us tell you that this decision to extend the period of license was taken on Sunday itself.

License deadline was ending from today

468 private liquor shops in Delhi were to be closed from Monday after the expiry of the license on July 31. However, only after the approval of the Lieutenant Governor, liquor shops will open by the order of the Excise Department. An official said, “The Delhi government has sent the cabinet’s decision to extend the existing licenses of liquor shops by one month i.e. till August 31, to the Lieutenant Governor. Orders to allow opening of liquor shops after July 31 will be issued after the approval of the Lieutenant Governor.
