What are the benefits of opening this account? Of course, this facility is available only to those who have Aadhaar number linked to their account.

The Jandhan Yojana account offers customers overdraft facility up to Rs. 5,000 / -. It is mandatory to have Aadhaar link with the specified account to avail the overdraft facility. The main objective of this scheme is to connect every household with banking services. In Jandhan Yojana you can open an account for a child of 10 years.

What are the benefits of overdraft? Even if you have zero balance in your account, when you can withdraw money, it is called overdraft. This facility will not be available if there is no Aadhaar in the case of Jandhan account.

Some conditions have to be fulfilled for overdraft facility – for this the account holder has to maintain balance for the first 6 months. Also this account needs to be transacted from time to time. Debit cards need to be issued to account holders.

To open this account you need to submit Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, Pen Card, Voter Card, NREGA Job Card with name, address and Aadhaar number. This account can be opened by visiting a bank near you. The account can be opened by submitting multiple details including name, mobile number, address, nominee in the form.
