Life Certificate: The Central Pension Accounting Office has said that if a pensioner does not want to appear before the Pension Disbursing Agency (PDA), he can submit his life certificate.

Central and state governments provide pensioners many options to submit life certificates, which include door step banking, post office and face authentication. The Central Pension Accounting Office has said that if a pensioner does not want to appear before the Pension Disbursing Agency (PDA), he can submit his life certificate. For this, it is necessary for the life certificate of the pensioner to be signed by a designated official. The CPAO (Central Pension Accounting Office) scheme booklet states that these pensioners are not required to be physically present. A list of all such named officers who are eligible to put their signatures on the life certificate has been released.

It is said that if a pensioner submits the life certificate form signed by the designated officer then personal presence is not required. As per paragraph 14.3 of the Scheme Booklet issued by CPAO, a pensioner who submits the Life Certificate in the required format and with required signatures is exempted from appearing in person.
