Jio has added free voice calling and data benefits to the new ₹ 189 plan. The validity of this ₹ 189 plan is 28 days and many benefits of unlimited voice calling are being given in it.
Reliance Jio has once again launched its old ₹ 189 prepaid plan in India. Earlier, users had expressed displeasure over some of Jio’s voice and SMS-only plans, as they did not have data top-up facility. Now the company has added free voice calling and data benefits to the new ₹ 189 plan. According to some online reports, Jio had also launched a ₹ 189 plan earlier, but it was discontinued due to unknown reasons. Now it has been reintroduced, so that customers can get a cheap and useful prepaid plan.

Benefits of ₹189 Jio prepaid plan
The validity of this ₹189 plan is 28 days and it offers unlimited voice calling (for local and STD calls), 300 free SMS, 2GB high-speed data, after this 64Kbps unlimited data, free access to JioTV, JioCinema, and JioCloud. But let us tell you, JioCinema Premium will not be available.
Cheaper option than ₹199 plan
If you compare it with the ₹199 plan, then the ₹189 plan is more economical. The ₹199 plan offers 1.5GB data per day, 100 SMS per day and 18 days validity. If you want a plan with more validity at a lower price, then the ₹189 plan will be better.
Change in prices of long-term plans
Recently, Jio also launched two new voice-only prepaid plans –
1. ₹1,958 plan (validity of 365 days)
2. ₹458 plan (validity of 84 days)
Later, the company reduced the prices of these plans to ₹1,748 and ₹448 respectively. However, the validity of the ₹1,748 plan has been reduced from 365 days to 336 days, but all other benefits remain the same.
