Pensioners over 80 years old can make this deposit until November 30th, while senior citizens between 60 and 80 years old can do so from November 1st to 30th. This work can be easily done online from home. Furthermore, it can also be deposited through a postman at home.

To receive your pension on time, you must submit a life certificate every year. The process for submitting it has already begun. Pensioners over 80 can submit it until November 30th, while senior citizens between 60 and 80 can do so between November 1st and 30th. This work can be easily done online from home. Furthermore, you can also call a postman and submit it through him.

Therefore it is necessary

A Life Certificate is a biometric-based digital life certificate for pensioners. It is crucial for retired employees of the Central Government, State Governments, and other government institutions. It provides evidence of whether the pension recipient is alive or not.

This certificate is valid for one year. This means that to receive a pension starting in December, it is necessary to submit it again by November 30th. If a pensioner fails to submit it, they will stop receiving their pension starting in December. However, upon subsequent submission, the full pension amount, along with any remaining balance, will be credited to their account.

Where to contact

Pensioners can download Jeevan Pramaan, the official app of their respective bank or post office, provide the required information, and submit the certificate. Alternatively, registration can also be done by visiting the nearest Jeevan Pramaan Center, bank, or Common Service Center. Registration is completed by providing Aadhaar, bank details, PPO number, and mobile number.

How to register on the app

First, download the Jeevan Pramaan app. Click on the New Registration link in the app.

  • – Fill in details like Aadhaar number, name, bank account number, pension order (PPO) and mobile number.
  • – Click on ‘Send OTP’ and enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
  • – Then confirm with Aadhaar linked biometric identity (fingerprint or iris).
  • – On submission, Aadhaar authority will verify the information and you will get a Jeevan Pramaan ID.

Get it online like this

  • – After creating Pramaan ID, the pensioner will have to login again in the app through OTP.
  • – Select the option ‘Generate Jeevan Pramaan’ and enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number.
  • Click on ‘Generate OTP’ and enter the OTP received. You’ll also need to enter your PPO number, the agency from which you receive your pension, your name, and other relevant information.

  • Your face will now be scanned. Enter the requested information and your face will be scanned again, giving you your Jeevan Pramaan ID number.
  • Finally, the option to download the certificate will be activated. You will also receive a confirmation SMS on your registered mobile number.

Call the postman to your home and deposit it

The Department of Posts has launched a doorstep service for submitting digital life certificates through India Post Payments Bank (IPPB). Upon request, a postman from the nearest post office will visit the pensioner’s home and complete the process of issuing the digital life certificate. The pensioner will have to pay ₹70 for this service.

Make a request like this

– Pensioners can request for a postman to come to their home through the India Post Payment Bank website.

To avail this facility through mobile app, the pensioner will have to download PostInfo App.

Keep these things in mind

1. Do not share Aadhaar number, OTP fingerprint or iris scan to any unknown person or third party agency.

2. Always get the verification done at a trusted centre (like bank, post office or common service centre).

3. Fake apps are also available on Play Store or App Store, so download only the official app.

4. Do not click on the link if you receive a call or message saying “Your life certificate has failed”.

5. Do not use public Wi-Fi or cyber cafe while filling the life certificate.
