Jeevan Pramaan Patra: According to the notification of the Central Government, all pensioners will have to submit life certificate by November 30, 2021. This will help in simplifying the process of pension distribution and keeping records of the members. Actually Life Certificate works like a tool which proves that the pensioner is alive. At the same time, they continue to get pension every month without interruption. This certificate also helps in stopping the payment on the death of the pensioners.
For people above 80 years of age, the process of submitting life certificate has started from October 1. This certificate is also called ‘Life Certificate’. To get the pension, it has to be shown to the authorized person or agency, who is in charge of pension distribution.
DLC debuted in November 2014
For life certificate, it is necessary to be present in the office in front of the person who issues these papers. But since not every senior citizen can do this, the government has arranged for ‘Digital Life Certificate’ (DLC). In this, the certificate is generated from the biometric details. This system was started in the country in November 2014.
Documents and equipment
For this, it is necessary that the person has Aadhaar number, registered mobile number and biometric device to scan fingerprints. Must be a personal computer with Windows 7.0 or higher version or an Android tablet or a phone. At the same time, the Aadhaar number of the pensioners should be registered with the pension disbursing agency.

Enter Aadhaar Number, Pension Payment Order, Bank Account Number, Bank Name and Mobile Number.
The portal will automatically use the Aadhaar platform for biometric authentication while matching it with the applicant’s fingerprints.
Check status like this
After submitting the details of the pensioners, an SMS will come on the registered mobile number, that will be the ID of the Life Certificate.
Life certificate can be accessed by SMS on its ID.
