Jeevan Pramaan: How many pensioners have submitted life certificates till now, know the details

Jeevan Pramaan: Pensioners have to submit life certificate every year in November. Life certificate is submitted so that it can be confirmed whether the person receiving pension is alive or not.



More than 12 days have passed in the month of November and people have submitted life certificates in large numbers. At present there are about 69.76 lakh pensioners of the Central Government. Whereas so many pensioners are from the state government and other institutions. This year, a large number of pensioners are submitting life certificates from the Central Government’s Jeevan Praman portal.

According to the information given on the Jeevan Pramaan portal, from November 1 to November 12 this year, about 45.03 lakh people have submitted their life certificates. Since 2014, 774.04 people have submitted this Jeevan Pramaan through this portal. However, life certificates are also being deposited by going to banks or through other methods, due to which a large number of life certificates are expected to be deposited by now.

The method is very easy

It is very easy to submit life certificate through Jeevan Praman portal. For this, pensioners need to download the Aadhaar Face RD app along with the Life Certificate app on their mobile. Pensioners have to enter their PAN, Aadhaar and PPO number in it. After taking the biometrics of the pensioners, this process is easily completed within 5 minutes. After this a confirmation message is sent to your mobile number. You can also easily download your life certificate from Jeevan Pramaan portal.

This is the process

  • First of all the Android user has to download the Jeevan Pramaan app from Play Store. After downloading, pensioners have to provide Aadhaar number, PPO number, bank account, bank name, mobile number.
  • You will receive OTP. Enter OTP. Enter name and email ID in the new screen and click on ‘Scan Finger’. Scan the fingerprint on the fingerprint scanner or scan the iris on the iris scanner connected to the PC/mobile/tab.
  • Once the fingerprint/iris is authenticated, the message ‘Device Registration’ will appear on the system screen as shown in the screen below. Click OK.
  • After this authentication and certificate will be generated. Enter Aadhaar and mobile number.
  • Enter OTP and click OK
  • On the next screen given below, enter the required information like pensioner’s name, PPO number, type of pension, name of sanctioning authority, disbursing agency, email and bank account number etc. After this select Remarried options, Re-Employed Options.
  • Then click on the ‘Scan Finger’ button and this will start the finger/iris scanning process.

When the fingerprint, iris authentication is successful, the pensioner’s life certificate will be visible and an SMS acknowledgment will be issued to the pensioner’s mobile phone.
