Income Tax Return: The last date for filing Income Tax Return (ITR) is approaching. According to the Finance Ministry, 31st December 2021 is the last date for filing income tax return. For the convenience of the taxpayers, the Income Tax Department has given some important details, while filing ITR has asked to keep some important documents ready. This will facilitate taxpayers in filing returns.

Recently, the Income Tax Department gave information about this by tweeting. The tweet read, “Filing your Income Tax Return is now easier than ever, as we have pre-filled some of your details! Take out time to file your return at the end of this week. The date for filing Income Tax Return for AY 2021-22 is December 31, 2021”.

Keep these documents ready


1. Form 16
2. Bank statement
3. Bank interest certificate
4. House loan interest statement if any
5. Rent receipts and house property tax if any
6. Capital gains statement if any issued by the broker
7. 26AS and Annual Information Statement (AIS)
