Many new payment methods have been added to the Income Tax 2.0 portal. Taxpayers will be able to make payments on the website through Net Banking, UPEI, Credit Card, RTGS and NEFT, the money will be deducted directly from their account. Apart from this, the processing of income tax returns will be faster on the new site, so that taxpayers can get quick refund. However, it has had several technical issues since its launch.

The Union Finance Ministry on Monday took a big decision regarding the irregularities in the Income Tax e-filing portal. The Finance Ministry has fixed September 15 as the deadline to fix all the glitches coming in the portal. By this date, Infosys will have to fix all technical glitches in the e-filing portal.


He has directed the officials of Infosys to rectify the technical glitches coming on the e-portal by September 15. In his meeting with the FM, the Infosys CEO told the finance minister that he and his team are doing their best to fix the glitches in the e-portal. A team of about 750 people is working on this.
