24 tickets can be booked every month
IRCTC has doubled the number of ticket bookings in a month by changing its ticket booking rules recently. Now you can book 12 tickets in a month instead of 6. On the other hand, if you have linked Aadhaar with your IRCTC account, then you can book 24 tickets in a month instead of 12.
How to link IRCTC with Aadhaar
To update Aadhaar in IRCTC account, you have to log in by visiting the official website of Railways http://www.irctc.co.in. If you do not have an account, you can sign up for an account first. Now by going to MY ACCOUNT option, click on LINK YOUR AADHAR option. Here you will be asked for some important details, enter them. Now you have to select the check box and select SEND OTP. Now you will receive OTP on your registered mobile number. After this you have to click on the Verify button, by doing this your verification process will be completed. Now click on Update button. After this, after the completion of KYC, your Aadhaar will be linked with IRCTC.
