If you are booking tickets from the ticket counter, then you can book tickets for coming and going simultaneously on the booking form. For this, you have to give information about the train from which you want to return in the form. At the same time, you can also book return tickets using the ‘Book Return/Onward Ticket’ option at the time of booking an onward ticket from the IRCTC website.

How to book round trip ticket from ticket counter
If you are booking ticket from reservation counter, then you can book to and fro ticket with only one form. To book first return tickets, fill in the information requested in the upper part of the form. You will have to enter the train name or number, class, date of journey and names of passengers etc. Remember to enter the name and age of the passenger correctly and do not forget to write the mobile number.
Now onward / return journey details will appear at the bottom of the form. To book the return ticket, you have to enter the information sought here. Here you will have to enter the name or number of the train, date of journey, class i.e. in which class you want to travel, names of stations starting and ending the journey, destination address and your full permanent address. Your to and fro ticket will be booked after filling the complete form.

How to book round trip ticket from ticket counter

  5. After this, click on ‘Find trains’ to find the train.
  6. Select your train from the train list.
  7. Click on the ‘Check availability and fare’ tab to know the seat availability and fare.
  8. Now select ‘Book now’ to book tickets.
  9. Reservation page will open, enter the information sought here.
  10. After this click on ‘Continue Booking’.
  11. After checking the information filled by you, click on ‘Continue Booking’ to make the payment.
  12. You can pay by credit card, net banking or payment wallet.
  13. Select your payment option and click on ‘Make Payment’.
  14. On payment and booking, the ticket confirmation page will appear.
  15. Now you can also book return ticket by clicking on ‘Book Return/Onward Ticket’.
