It works like a credit or debit card but the e-wallet needs to be linked to the customer’s bank account to make payments. IRCTC e-Wallet aims to provide the facility of online ticket booking without any hassle. Making payment through this mode becomes easy.

This reduced the dependency on a particular bank, as tickets can be easily booked from IRCTC e-wallet account. It also saves ticket fees from payment gateways.

How to Register IRCTC E-Wallet
1: Firstly, log in to IRCTC with your existing IRCTC User ID and Password
2: You have to go to IRCTC e-Wallet category on “Plan My Journey” page.
3: Then click on the link “IRCTC eWallet Registration”.
4: Enter PAN or Aadhaar and other details for verification.
5: You can submit a one time payment of Rs 50 online with any of the available payment options.
6: You have to deposit at least Rs 100 in IRCTC e-wallet. IRCTC e-wallet will be shown in the payment option with other banks to pay the ticket booking amount. The amount deposited in the IRCTC e-Wallet account will appear in the deposit history on the left navigation bar.
7: Then you have to enter the password profile and click on ‘Go’.

Here are the steps to deposit money in your e-wallet:

Step 1: Login to your IRCTC e-Wallet account
Step 2: Under e-Wallet account, click on “Deposit IRCTC e-Wallet”
Step 3: Simply enter the amount you want
Step 4: Select the payment option .
Step 5: Funds will be credited to your IRCTC e-wallet.
