Festival Special Trains: To manage the passenger rush during Durga Puja, Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath Mahaparva, Western Railway has announced three pairs of festival special trains.
These special trains will run between Bandra Terminus-Ayodhya Cantt, Bandra Terminus-Ludhiana Junction, and Udhna-Jaynagar. These special trains will run from the end of September to the beginning of December 2025 and will cover several important cities, districts, and states.
Bandra Terminus-Ayodhya Cantt Special Train
According to information provided by Western Railway, Train No. 09095, Bandra Terminus-Ayodhya Cantt Weekly Special train will depart from Bandra Terminus every Wednesday at 11:00 am from October 1 to November 19, 2025 and will reach Ayodhya Cantt at 5:30 pm the next day. On the return journey, Train No. 09096, Ayodhya Cantt-Bandra Terminus, will depart every Thursday at 9:00 pm from October 2 to November 20 and will reach Bandra at 6:00 am the following Saturday. The train will stop at Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Jhansi, Kanpur Central, Lucknow and Barabanki, among other stations.
Bandra Terminus-Ludhiana Junction Special Train
Train No. 09097 Bandra Terminus – Ludhiana Junction Weekly Special train will leave Bandra Terminus every Sunday at 9:50 PM from October 5 to November 30, 2025 and will reach Ludhiana at 12:30 AM on Tuesday. The return train, Train No. 09098 Ludhiana – Bandra Terminus, will leave Ludhiana every Tuesday at 4:00 AM from October 7 to December 2 and will reach Bandra at 10:20 AM the next day. The train will stop at Surat, Vadodara, Kota, New Delhi, Panipat and Ambala stations on its journey.
Udhna-Jaynagar special train
Train No. 09151, Udhna-Jaynagar Special, will leave Udhna at 6:45 am on September 30, 2025, and arrive at Jaynagar at 9:30 pm on October 1. In the return direction, Train No. 09152, Jaynagar-Udhna Special, will leave Jaynagar at 11:00 pm on October 1 and arrive at Udhna at 5:45 pm on October 3. The train will halt at Surat, Vadodara, Prayagraj, Ara, Patliputra, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, and Madhubani stations.
Reservation started
These trains will have AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper class and general class coaches. Booking for train number 09151 will open from September 28, 2025, while reservations for train numbers 09095, 09096, 09097 and 09098 will open from September 29 at PRS counters and on the IRCTC website.
