Investors have increased confidence in India, FPI has invested Rs 16,305 crore so far in September

According to depository data, FPIs invested Rs 11,287 crore in equities from September 1 to 17.

New Delhi. Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have infused a net Rs 16,305 crore into the Indian markets so far in September. According to depository data, during September 1 to 17, foreign investors poured Rs 11,287 crore into equities and Rs 5,018 crore in the debt or bond market. In this way his net investment stood at Rs 16,305 crore. Earlier in August, FPIs had invested Rs 16,459 crore in the Indian markets.


Himanshu Srivastava, Associate Director (Manager Research), Morningstar India said that investing in Indian stocks has been volatile for some time now. He said, “However, FPIs cannot ignore the steady rise in the Indian stock markets. They would like to be a part of it and don’t want to miss the opportunity.” Srivastava said that India continues to be an important and competitive investment destination from a long-term perspective.
