Patna, JNN. Nepal has threatened India that if it does not remove the embankment, it will break it. Due to this, the danger of flooding in Bihar has started looming. Nepal has threatened the Rauthat district administration to remove a portion of the embankment of the Lalbakeya River adjoining the No Mens Land in the Indian border near Banjarah, saying the removal would otherwise break it. Nepal has claimed that the Water Resources Department of the Government of Bihar has encroached the two-meter-wide and 200-meter-long embankment no-mans land.
While giving a warning, Nepal has said that if it is not removed, it will be broken and removed. The danger now is that if the embankment adjacent to Nepal is lifted in this rainy season, the people of the area will suffer heavy loss of life and property from the floods.
CDO Vasudev Ghimire said-
Rauthat’s CDO (DM) Vasudev Ghimire told Nepali media persons at a press conference on Monday that the measurement done by the land measuring team of the two countries found that the border pillar number 346/5 to pillar number 346/7 Pillars have been built at 11 locations. In the map, it has been found that the dam has been built by encroaching the no-man’s land two meters and one meter somewhere.

They have been told that after the confirmation of encroaching the No-Mains land and the Bagmati embankment in the presence of security personnel and officials of both countries, it has been agreed to evacuate the No-Mens Land. 9.1 m north and south ie 18.2 m no-man’s land is already earmarked for the pillar in the middle of the no-man’s land.
Nepal has threatened
No construction work is to be done on the land of no-mans land. Despite this, the embankment has been made there. The Rauthat DM even said that the agreement has been agreed between the authorities of the two countries to remove the dam on the No-Mens Land. Even if the dam is not removed, the Nepal government will remove the dam itself.
Dam has been in dispute
It is to be known that this is the same embankment of Lalbakeya river of Adhwara group, whose repair was stopped by the security personnel of Nepal recently. Executive Engineer Jamil Anwar of Bagmati division said that he had not received any such instruction to remove the embankment. He is currently engaged in flood and erosion work. They are not aware of any kind of measurement.
