On Tuesday night, IndiGo dropped a fresh travel advisory for anyone flying out on Wednesday morning. Because a thick blanket of fog is covering parts of North and East India, flight schedules are getting a bit messy.

IndiGo posted a heads-up on X (formerly Twitter), explaining that safety is their #1 priority. Since visibility is super low right now, planes are moving a lot slower than usual. That means some of your flights might be delayed or even adjusted to keep everyone safe.

The Team is on it!

The good news? IndiGo’s airport crews are working overtime. They’re coordinating like pros to keep things moving as smoothly as possible and to help out anyone stuck waiting at the terminal. They’ve promised to maintain a “steady flow” of operations, but with mother nature in charge, a little patience will go a long way!

It’s a “Buffer Time” Kind of Morning

One thing to keep in mind: the fog isn’t just in the sky—it’s on the roads too.  Commuting to the airport is probably going to take much longer than your Google Maps usually says. IndiGo is suggesting we all leave home a bit earlier and give ourselves plenty of “buffer time.”

How to stay ahead of the chaos:

  • Check Before You Go: Don’t just head to the airport! Check your live flight status on the IndiGo website or app before you even leave the house.

  • Safety First: Remember, these delays are all about making sure every takeoff and landing is 100% safe.

  • Stay Alert: With hazardous pollution levels and dense fog mixing together in the capital region, airport authorities are asking everyone to stay vigilant.

Stay warm, stay safe, and hopefully, you’ll be up in the clouds soon… ☁️💙
