Boarding Pass Charge: It has been more than a month since the announcement of the government, but despite this, the country’s largest airline Indigo is charging passengers for boarding pass money.

Indigo Airlines Boarding Pass: The Central Government had given great relief to the people traveling by plane. The Ministry of Civil Aviation had said that airline companies will no longer be able to charge passengers extra for issuance of boarding passes at airport check-in counters. It has been more than a month since this announcement of the government, but despite this, the country’s largest airline Indigo is charging passengers for boarding pass money.

Zee News reporter exposes Indigo

Zee News reporter Jitendra Sharma had to catch an Indigo airline flight from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport to go to Hyderabad. When he reached the airport, the IndiGo employee at the check-in counter asked him for money for the boarding pass. When Jitendra Sharma questioned the IndiGo employee, he told that the boarding pass is charged Rs 200. On this, Jitendra Sharma said that the charge of boarding pass has been refused by the ministry, yet why is it being charged. To this Indigo employee did not give any satisfactory answer.

The reporter of Zee News also tweeted about this matter. He tagged Indigo airline, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Jyotiraditya Scindia while sharing the video of IndiGo’s conversation with the employee. In another tweet, he wrote that Dear Indigo airline is asking for your staff boarding pass money and you are directly denying this video and asking for boarding pass money. This video is of Delhi airport today (Tuesday) at 16:43.

To his tweet, IndiGo replied that Sir, as per the order received from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, we do not charge any fee for printing of boarding passes at the airport from July 21. We want to connect with you to know more. Please share PNR and contact number to connect with us instantly.
