Now you can cancel your ticket by visiting the railway app or railway website. Now the Railways is giving a great facility to cancel train tickets through e-mail. Railway’s big decision
Railway has tweeted from its official Twitter handle that now a railway passenger can also cancel his ticket by e-mailing the railway. Actually, earlier a passenger had complained to the Railways on Twitter that he had booked the ticket in Tatkal. But, due to the cancellation of the train, he had to choose another travel option. The passenger has told that he got the chance to book the ticket, but even after canceling the ticket, the refund is not being received. On this the railway gave its answer.
Cancellation will be done on train status
Responding to this tweet, the Railways wrote, ‘If the passengers are not able to cancel the ticket on their own, then for cancellation of the ticket, the passenger can also e-mail the railway from his registered e-mail id at etickets@irctc.co.in . Can cancel the ticket. After this, in its second tweet, the Railways informed that the Railways puts the cancellation flag on the train status due to operational reasons. Railways told that if possible, the train can be restored at any possible time. Final status is available only after charting. So the traveler should keep this in mind. Otherwise they may have to pay cancellation charges.
