Giving details, Ashwini Vaishnav said, ‘In order to ensure the comfortable and safe journey of women passengers in long distance trains, Indian Railways has allotted special berths for women and many other facilities. .’

6 berths reserved for female passengers

The Railway Minister further said that, ‘In addition to 6 berths in sleeper class of long distance mail and express trains, the same number of berths in 3AC class of Garib Rath, Rajdhani, Duronto and fully AC express trains will be reserved for women. . However, he said that this quota would be applicable for women passengers, irrespective of their age and traveling alone or with a group of women.

Railway’s special initiative on women’s safety

Giving the details, the Railway Minister said that, ‘Each sleeper coach has 6 to 7 lower berths, 3AC coaches have 4 to 5 lower berths, 2AC coaches have 3 to 4 berths for senior citizens, women above 45 years of age and pregnant women. will be reserved for women. Apart from this, the reserve quota of seats for this category will be decided according to the number of coaches in the trains. Let us tell you that this announcement has been made for the safe travel of the people.

Seat will not be a problem
