Indian Railways Rules: There are many rules of Indian Railways about which apart from the passengers, the railway staff also are not aware. One of those rules is that a single female passenger cannot get off the TTE train even if she does not have a ticket.

Indian Railways Rules: Traveling long distances by Indian Railways is always comfortable. If you too often travel by train, then you must know about the rules of Indian Railways. If you are aware of these rules, then they can be useful to you in any situation. Knowing about the rules of the railway, co-travellers, railway staff or officers will not be able to misbehave with you.

The rule was made three decades ago
According to a rule of the Railways, if a woman passenger is alone while traveling in a train and she does not have a ticket, then TTE cannot get her down from the train during checking. This rule was made by the Railway Board three decades ago. Under the empowerment of women, it has now been decided to implement it strictly.

Staff has little knowledge
The railway staff also knows very little about this rule. On the related rule, Railway Board officials say that a female passenger traveling alone can cause an accident if she is deboarded from the train at any station or junction. In view of the safety of women passengers, this rule was made law in 1989.

Responsibility of women constable of GRP
It is clear in the Railway Manual that in case a single female passenger does not have a ticket, TTE cannot drop her off at any station. For this, the TTE will have to first inform the control room at the district headquarters. It is the responsibility of the lady constable of GRP to sit with the ticket in the second train.

Many rules for the safety of female passengers
Railway continues to work for women empowerment. These efforts include improving safety, security and convenience for women passengers. Railway Board has decided to work on different fronts for women empowerment. In this, several steps have to be taken to ensure the safety of the single female passenger.

On behalf of the Railway Board, it was said that even if the name of the waiting list in the unreserved coach is there, a single woman cannot be deboarded from the train. If a single woman is traveling in an AC coach on a sleeper ticket, the TTE can request her to move to the sleeper.
