18 coach train booking
It is worth noting that Indian Railways book trains with at least 18 coaches. If you want to book a train with 5-7 coaches in pieces, then it will not be possible. The cost of booking a full 18-coach train is about Rs 9 lakh in the form of registration and security charge. This includes service charge, safety charge and other charges.
List of passengers to be given
The list of passengers will have to be given by going to the office of the Chief Passenger Transport Manager of the station at least 72 hours before starting the journey. In this list the details of all the passengers willing to travel in the train should be recorded. After this, the tickets of the passengers are prepared on the basis of that list, which the people traveling in the train have to carry with them.
Extra charge for travel more than 7 days
It is also important to know here that if the duration of your journey is more than 7 days, then you have to pay an exta charge of 10 thousand rupees per coach. After depositing the money for the registration fee, the application has to be submitted to the Chief Passenger Transportation Manager (CPTM) of Indian Railways. This must be given at least 30 days before the commencement of the journey. Otherwise, the train booking process cannot be done.
