Indian Railways: Northern Railway selected these 82 stations, and this facilities will start for passengers from the CSR fund

Indian Railways: Northern Railway has selected 82 such railway stations under its control, where toilets will be constructed in the circulating area with the help of CSR funds. Apart from making the station premises more clean and hygienic, it will prove to be a big step in the direction of meeting the needs of the passengers.



New Delhi. The Northern Railway is working on a plan to make New Delhi station world class. At the same time, emphasis is being laid on completing all the related projects related to other works expeditiously. Along with this, a special focus is being made to meet all the needs related to the passengers.

Northern Railway has selected 82 such railway stations under its control, where toilets will be constructed in the circulating area from the CSR fund. Apart from making the station premises more clean and hygienic, it will prove to be a big step in the direction of meeting the needs of the passengers.

Northern Railway General Manager Ashutosh Gangal held a review meeting with all the Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers. The meeting discussed on providing passenger amenities like expansion of platforms at stations, increase in the level of platforms, provision of washable aprons, second entrance, foot-over bridges, escalators, facility of lifts for differently abled persons, improvement of station building with entrance done. They also reviewed mobility enhancement, developmental infrastructure, freight loading and safety on tracks.



He said that 82 different stations of Northern Railway have been selected for construction of toilets in the circulating area through CSR funds. He directed to maintain a better record of punctuality of trains and to expedite the works related to increasing the mobility and to conduct campaigns to check the progress of the works.

He reviewed the work being done on the zone to improve the maintenance standards of the tracks and welds and to remove the scrap lying near the tracks. The General Manager took stock of the work of pruning the trees and clearing the vegetation growing around the tracks.

Gangal stressed on minimizing human failures in rail operations and monitoring of rail cracks and rail velds closely. He said that there should be no error in these works. He asked the officers to increase the inspections related to the progress of works and rail operations. He said that the loading of food grains and other items has increased with each passing month.
