There will be 12 coaches in each train

The new Vande Metro trains will be completely AC and will run on the existing railway tracks only. These trains will work to connect big cities and small towns around them. More passengers will be able to travel in general coaches in these trains. According to a railway official, these trains will pick up speed quickly and stop at small stations. Each train will have 12 coaches and the doors of the coaches will be big and automatic. Also, there will be more space for standing in the coaches. If needed, 16 coaches can also be installed in these trains.

Target of 50 new Amrit Bharat trains

Under the plan to modernize trains, Railways aims to run 50 new Amrit Bharat trains this year. These trains will be run with engines installed on both the front and rear, which will make it easier for them to change direction. These trains will provide the facility to passengers traveling long distances to travel at affordable prices. The first such train was run between Delhi and Ayodhya.

The design will be like a foreign train

These trains are going to arrive by around 2026 and their specialty will be that their front carriage will be pointed like European trains. Railways plans to run around 400 such Amrit Bharat trains in the coming time.
