Indian Railways: There is important news for the passengers traveling by train. If you also book train tickets online, then you should know these important rules or else you will not get a seat. If you now book online tickets through Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), now you are required to get your mobile number and email verification done.



Let us tell you that only after verification you will get ticket and confirmed seat. Chief officials of IRCTC Delhi said that this verification process has been started to ensure that the IRCTC accounts were lying dormant.

Let us tell you that when you login to the IRCTC portal, a verification window will open in front of you. On this you have to enter your registered mail id and mobile number. Now there is an option of editing on the left and verification on the right.

After that you have to click on edit option. Now you can change your number or email. After selecting the verification option, OTP will come on your number.

When you will enter the OTP, your mobile number will be verified and similarly the OTP will come on the mail and your mail id will also be verified.

Apart from this, the Railways has made another new rule. Let us tell you that under this rule, if you do not have a reservation, then now you can board the train only by taking a platform ticket and after that you will have to contact the TTE. You have to go to the ticket checker and by going there you can get your ticket made.
