The Ministry of Railways has announced to resume the facility of providing blankets and bedding during travel in long distance trains. On behalf of the Railways, the service of providing blankets and linen (sheets available for bedding) in AC coaches of trains has been restored.
Supply order with immediate effect
This facility provided by the Railways was closed in the year 2020 due to Kovid. In the order given by the Railway Board to the General Managers of all the railway zones, it has been said that the supply of linen, blankets and curtains inside the AC coach should be started with immediate effect.
Facilities being restored gradually
Let us tell you that the railways had closed this facility given in AC coaches as a precaution in 2020 after the cases of Kovid-19 increased. The restrictions imposed during the Corona epidemic are being gradually reinstated by the government.
You can also travel in unreserved coach
Recently, an order was given by the government to start international flights from March 27. Earlier, a big decision was also taken by the Railways to install unreserved coaches in the train. With this move of Railways, crores of passengers will be able to travel on cheap tickets as before. Now after the order to provide linen, blankets and curtains in AC coaches, the passengers will get a lot of relief.
Due to non-availability of blankets and sheets, passengers had to travel long distances with their blankets. Apart from food, blanket and linen service, other facilities for the passengers have not been restored yet.
