IRCTC has started a special cashback offer on Rakshabandhan for women on discount in train fare. It is also planning to launch more attractive travel offers for passengers of premium trains in the coming festivals.


Indian Railways has introduced a special offer for the customers on the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a subsidiary of Railways, has offered a special cash back offer for women passengers on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Under this, women passengers will get a discount in the fare, which they will get in the form of cashback. This cashback offer will be given to women passengers of Tejas Express trains running between Lucknow-Delhi and Ahmedabad-Mumbai. IRCTC is also planning to launch more attractive travel offers for passengers of premium trains in the coming festivals.

Till when is the IRCTC cashback offer

According to IRCTC, today i.e. between August 15 and August 24, 2021, special cashback offer of 5% in train fare to all women passengers traveling in two premium trains ‘Tejas’ on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. has been started. The cashback offer will be applicable only for the trips performed during the given period.

During this period women can travel any number of times. Every time the discount on the fare under the cashback offer will be credited to the same account from which the tickets have been booked. The cashback offer will also be applicable for women passengers who have already booked tickets for this travel period before the offer launch.

Protocol has to be followed

Tejas Express is running on Lucknow-Delhi-Lucknow (Train No. 82501/02) & Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Ahmedabad & (Train No. 82901/02) routes. Following the health and safety protocols of all passengers, the Railways has resumed operations of its two premium passenger trains from 7 August. IRCTC is currently operating both Tejas trains for four days in a week i.e. Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
