Indian Railways: Big news! Railways will run 10 new trains for passengers, know when it will run

In this budget, many big announcements are likely to be made by the Finance Minister regarding railways and health sector. The government is considering increasing the budget of the railways by 15 percent.


New Delhi: Budget 2022: Preparations are going on in full swing in the Finance Ministry regarding the general budget to be presented before the elections in five states. This time Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the country’s budget on the fourth. Before the presentation of the budget, demands are being made from different sectors from the government. Meanwhile, news is coming that in the budget to be presented on February 1, 2022, the government will increase the expenditure of the Railways.

10 new trains likely to be announced

Railway budget will be increased by more than 15% by the government. According to sources, keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, the government is likely to announce to run 10 new trains in this budget. Apart from this, the government is also working on a plan to speed up rail connectivity of metro cities. There is a preparation to run light trains with aluminum in such cities.

100 percent electrification target

Private companies will be involved to run these light trains. The government is also emphasizing on maximum electrification of railways. The National Rail Plan has set a target of 100% electrification by 2030. Indian Railways is also trying to reduce carbon emissions to zero by 2030. For this, the Hydrogen and Biofuel Train Project has been announced.

With the increase in the railway budget, the Dedicated Freight Corridor will be completed faster. The East Coast Corridor of the Railways will be built from Kharagpur to Vijayawada. On the other hand, the East-West Corridor will be from Bhusaval to Dankuni via Kharagpur. The North-South Corridor will start from Itarsi and will go till Vijayawada.
