New Delhi. Indian Railways has decided to add temporary coaches for special cities of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan. These coaches will be of Third AC and Sleeper class in the trains being operated for different cities for these states. With their joining, passengers will be able to get the facility of additional coaches in the train. This facility will be applicable from January 1 to 31.


According to Pankaj Kumar Singh, Spokesperson of North Eastern Railway, one extra coach each will be temporarily installed in three trains from January 01 to 31, 2022. These trains operate between Gorakhpur, Panvel, Chhapra, Durg, Uttarakhand and Jaisalmer which are as follows:-

-15065 Gorakhpur-Panvel Express will be temporarily fitted with one air-conditioned third class coach from January 01 to 31, 2022.

-15159 Chhapra-Durg Express will be temporarily augmented with one additional coach of Sleeper class from January 01 to 31, 2022.

-15014 Kathgodam – Jaisalmer Express will be temporarily augmented with an additional AC third class coach from January 01 to 31, 2021.

NWR is also adding additional coaches to these trains

Apart from this, North Western Railway has also decided to increase additional coaches in 76 trains. All these trains operate between particular cities of the states of Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal. Second Sleeper Class, Second Ordinary Class and Third Class AC coaches are being added to these trains on a temporary basis.
