Different classes and different charges are deducted at the time

According to the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a subsidiary of the Railways, charges are deducted according to the class and time of cancellation of tickets. If you understand in simple words, then the charges for cancellation of AC, Sleeper, Second class tickets (Train Ticket Cancellation Charges) will be different.

When to cancel the ticket, how much will be charged

If a rail passenger cancels a confirmed ticket 48 hours before the departure of the train, then Rs 240 for AC First Class, Rs 200 for AC Two-Tier, Rs 180 for AC Three-Tier, Rs 120 for Sleeper Class and Rs. Cancellation charge of Rs 60 will be deducted.

If you cancel the ticket between 48 to 12 hours after the departure of the train, then 25 percent of the ticket money will be deducted. Along with this, you will also be charged GST on this. If the ticket is canceled within 12 to 4 hours of the departure of the train, then half the money and GST will have to be paid. If you do not fill the TDR online and cancel the confirmed ticket within 4 hours of the departure of the train, then the entire money will be deducted.
