Due to the farmers’ agitation in Punjab, it has been decided to cancel 37 trains on Thursday, 23 December. Apart from this, the route of 30 trains has been changed.


Farmers are protesting in different parts of Punjab regarding loan waiver and other demands. In order to fulfill their demands from the government, the farmers kept the railway lines closed in different parts of Punjab for the third day, affecting the movement of 128 trains.

According to the officials of Firozpur Division of Railways, 59 trains were canceled due to the farmers’ agitation and 34 trains were diverted from their scheduled departure station and 35 trains were terminated before their scheduled destination station. been done.

According to the information, out of 128 trains that were affected on Wednesday, 104 were mail or express, while 24 were passenger trains. Railway Manager of Firozpur Division of Northern Railway, Seema Sharma said that help desks have also been set up at all stations to help the passengers.
