Railways have great importance in the lives of common people in India. Every day lakhs of passengers travel by train to reach their destination. Railway has made some rules for the passengers to not face any kind of trouble in the journey.

If you also travel regularly by train, then definitely be aware of these rules. After this you will not face any kind of problem. So let’s know about some railway rules.

If you are not getting a confirmed train ticket then there is no need to worry. In such a situation, you can also take train tickets from any other station, but your boarding station should be the same from where you have to board. This greatly increases the chances of getting a Confirm ticket. Along with this, in case the train is canceled or diverted, then you will get the refund of the ticket.

If for any reason you have missed your train, then in such a situation you can claim the refund of your fare. For this you have to file Ticket Deposit Receipt. With this you will get a refund of 50 percent of your ticket.

If your train is missed, then according to the rules of the Railways, TTE cannot allot that seat to anyone else up to two stations. After two stations, TTE has the right to give that seat to anyone.

If you have got a middle seat in the train, then according to the railway rules, you can sleep on this seat from 10 pm to 6 am. After 6 in the morning, you have to open this seat so that the rest of the passengers can travel by sitting on the seat.

TTE cannot disturb any journey after 10 pm to check tickets. According to the rules, passengers cannot demand to see tickets after 10 am and before 6 am.

If you want to take a bird or a pet in the train, then in such a situation you can take it by keeping it in the luggage ban. Along with this, the responsibility of these stomachs lies with its owner. Railways does not take responsibility for any untoward incident.
