Coach’s category rules
Indian Railways has fixed the weight of the luggage according to the coach of the train. A passenger can travel with a maximum of 40 to 70 kg. However, depending on the class of the ticket, different exemptions have been given to the passengers to carry luggage with them.

First ac rule
For traveling in First AC, a passenger can carry 70 kg of luggage with him. By paying an additional charge, you can also travel with 150 kg of luggage with you.

Second AC
For traveling by second AC, there is an exemption to carry luggage up to 35 kg. But by paying an additional charge, you can carry a maximum of 70 kg of luggage.

Sleeper class
Luggage up to 40 kg is allowed while traveling in sleeper class. You can carry a maximum of 80 kilograms of luggage by paying a charge fixed by the railways.

May be fined
For carrying goods in excess of the limit fixed by the railways, the passenger may have to pay a penalty of at least 30 rupees. If there is more baggage, one and a half times more can be charged from the passenger.
