Indian Railway: Big news! Railway added two new religious places in the route of Ramayana Yatra special train, know details

New Delhi. Indian Railways has decided to add two more religious places on the route of Shri Ramayana Yatra special train. The Shri Ramayana Yatra train run by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation will now visit the places associated with Lord Rama in Buxar, Bihar and Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu.


Railway Board has given approval to add these religious places in the route. This train will run on 9 February 2021. Due to the increase of two places, the travel days have also increased. IRCTC has started Shri Ramayana Yatra to make people visit the places related to Lord Shri Ram.

Which class will the trains be?

Two class trains are being operated in Shri Ramayana Yatra. A deluxe train, which has AC second and AC first class. On the other hand, the second train is sleeper and AC third class. One train has run at the end of November 2021 and the other train in early December 2021. Booking is getting full in both the trains. Seeing better response, Indian Railways has decided to run another train. This train will be deluxe, it will have AC second and AC first class. This train will leave on 9 February.

How many days will be the journey now

According to IRCTC, till now this journey used to be of 17 days, but after the addition of two new religious places, the journey will be of 20 days. The train will reach Buxar on the 5th day and Kanchipuram on the 17th day. Similarly, its fare is also being increased. Now the AC second fare is expected to be around Rs 14,000 to 15,000 and the AC first fare is likely to be around Rs 20,000 to 22,000.

Why pair Buxar and Kancheepuram

According to IRCTC, Lord Shri Ram was married in Buxar and Dasaratha had gone to Kanchipuram when he did not have a son. After his return, he had four sons. For this reason both the places are important. Common people do not know about these places, so have decided to add.
