Rahul is all set to make a comeback in the fourth Test to be held at the Jharkhand Cricket Association Stadium. Rahul could not play in the second and third Test due to quadriceps strain. This star batsman, who shone in the first Test in Hyderabad, was included in the team for the last three Tests, but due to not being completely fit, he could not play in Rajkot.

Rohit Sharma had given an update on Rahul’s injury.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had said in its statement before the third Test that KL Rahul is 90 percent fit and the team management feels that the star batsman is completely cured of the quadriceps problem. More time is needed to recover. After India’s 434-run win in Rajkot, captain Rohit Sharma also gave a positive update on Rahul’s recovery from injury. The hitman had said that he (Rahul) should be fine.

Rajat Patidar may be out.

If Rahul returns, Rajat Patidar may be out of the playing-11. Rajat got a chance to debut in the Visakhapatnam Test. He was out after scoring 32 runs in the first innings and nine runs in the second innings. After that he was given another chance in Ranchi. Rajat failed once again. He was able to score only five runs in the first innings. Couldn’t even open the account in the second innings. In such a situation, Rajat, who has not scored a single half-century in four innings, may have to sit out if Rahul becomes fit.

Bumrah may get rest:

Experienced fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is likely to be given rest. Team management wants to manage their workload. According to media reports, Bumrah will not travel with the Indian team from Rajkot to Ranchi. Rohit Sharma and his teammates will go to Ranchi on Tuesday. Bumrah has taken 17 wickets in three tests. If he does not play then Mukesh Kumar may return. Bengal’s fast bowler Akash Deep is in the Indian team. He may also get a chance to debut.
