New Delhi. Many users have taken cognizance of technical problems encountered while using the Income Tax Department’s portal. The department has directed IT company Infosys to expedite the problem being faced in the ‘Search’ option in the e-filing portal. The department says that it is trying to get this problem resolved as soon as possible.

According to a news in Moneycontrol The Income Tax Department said on Tuesday that even today complaints of burglary were received in the portal. The matter came to light on the first anniversary of the launch of the portal. The department said that Infosys is fixing it on priority basis.

What the department wrote on twitter

According to the news, the Income Tax Department has written on Twitter that a problem has come to our notice in the ‘Search’ option of the e-filing website. The Income Tax Department has directed Infosys to investigate. The department has said that it is being rectified on priority basis. Officials of the Finance Ministry said about this that there is no breach in the data on the portal. There is no data breach of any kind.

Last year had to extend the deadline

Let us inform that Tuesday was the first anniversary of the launch of the new income tax portal. The new e-filing portal www.incometax.gov.in (www.incometax.gov.in) was launched on 7 June 2021. Last year also, many such problems were reported by users, especially the portal not working well and problems in filing returns. After this, the government had given additional time to the taxpayers to file tax returns and other forms. The task of creating a new income tax portal was given to the country’s largest IT company Infosys in 2019.
