Income tax new service: Good news! Taxpayers will be able to view Annual Information Statement (AIS) including TDS on mobile

ITR Filing: Through the app, the taxpayer will be able to see the Annual Information Statement (AIS) including TDS on mobile. It was said by the department that with this, taxpayers will get information about tax deduction at source / tax collection at source (TDS / TCS), interest, dividend and share deals.


Income Tax Department: If you also pay tax every year to the Income Tax Department, then this news will make you happy. The facility of a mobile app for taxpayers has been started by the Income Tax Dept. Through this app, the tax payer will be able to see the Annual Information Statement (AIS) including TDS on mobile.

It was said by the department that with this, taxpayers will get information about tax deduction at source / tax collection at source (TDS / TCS), interest, dividend and share deals.


The Income Tax Department makes it available for free,

Apart from this, the tax payer will also get the option to give his opinion on it. Taxpayers will be able to view the information available in the Annual Information Statement (AIS) / Taxpayer Information Statement (TIS) through the mobile app. ‘AIS For Taxpayer’ is a mobile application. It is provided by the Income Tax Department free of cost and is available on Google Play and App Store.

Information collected from different sources

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said in a statement, ‘The purpose of the app is to provide information about AIS / TIS to the taxpayer. It gives information aggregated from different sources related to taxpayers. Use of mobile app to view information related to TDS/TCS, interest, dividend, share transactions, tax payments, income tax refunds, other things available in Taxpayer AIS/TIS can do.

The taxpayer also has the option and facility to provide feedback on the information displayed in the app. The Income Tax Department said, ‘This is another initiative of the department in the field of facilitating compliance and providing better service to the taxpayer.’
